Perfect little get away location!

Great cosy annex also kitted out with all things needed for dog lovers. Very fast communication. Had a great stay.

Fantastic little cottage so lovely! Spent New Year’s Eve here for a couple days. Great local pubs espically the butt of sherry! Fab little find The Dog House.

We celebrated Christmas with family and stayed at The Doghouse. It was a cosy cottage. Tidy, clean and dog friendly. The shower and toilet room was clean and tidy. It was within walking distance of my family. Nearby is beautiful walking.

The Dog House was exactly what we were looking for. Everything you need for a short or longer stay and Jennifer was very helpful in providing me with information required in advance of our stay. We did not have a dog with us, but I can see how dog owners would love to stay here as it cares for both human and dog in the same way - Well Done Jennifer!!

Ideal for a one night stopover on a long journey. Instructions were accurate and easy enough to implement. Had just enough of everything to ensure that we were comfortable for one night. Good value for money. Easy walk into Mere, to buy supplies from the Co-op.

Everything about the dog house is great, very comfortable self-contained apartment 👌

We had a lovely stay and would recommend to all. The house is so dog friendly and has everything you need. It’s very clean and comfortable. The town is lovely and the pub is just around the corner serving great food and also dog friendly. We would definitely return.

The house was lovely and clearly catered to dog lovers and people with a dog (or two). We were neither of these and were simply a couple looking for a getaway close to Stourhead somewhere quiet, and the accommodation provided precisely that. It was tidy, quaint and had character. Owners were responsive and gave excellent and detailed instructions on both finding the site and getting access. I would have no qualms staying again!

The Dog House was a brilliant place to stay. Spotlessly clean, cosy, and thoughtfully set up with everything you could need. The location was quiet and relaxing, perfect for switching off. Check-in was easy and the whole stay felt smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend and would love to return!

Great location and place to stay out of the busier villages around in the area. Easy to go and explore around the other areas and Mere as well. House was very easy to find, and had everything that was stated in the description.

Cosy with lovely touches such as an Advent Calendar for doggie visitors!

The Dog House was a perfect little place to stay for our planned visit to nearby Longleat. We initially booked because it was dog friendly but didn’t take our fur baby in the end. It was all set up for for her though, even a doggy advent calendar. Left it for the next lucky pet. Lovely stay, thank you.

Thanks Jennifer for the lovely place. Everything was exactly, if not better then on the pictures, kitchen fully fitted even have a microwave there too which I thought might not be the case. Very clean and tidy, heating turned on a little before we arrived there so it was very nice and warm. Location was also spot on, 5-10 min away from a few national trust sites which was very handy. Would happily stay again next time when we come to the area. Thank You 🙌

Stayed here one night when we visited friends near by for an evening. It was the perfect place for us. Small and so cosy. The instructions to get inside are so clear and easy to follow 💖

Cosy and unusual property with lots of thoughtful details. Perfectly located for National Trust Stourhead.

Comfortable and warm, perfectly set up if you have a dog. Dog beds, blankets, water bowl, towels and treats. Perfect for humans as well with kitchen, bathroom and comfy bed.
