Very nicely appointed, very clean. Everything there you require. Plus point lovely pub within walking distance. Altogether a very comfortable stay.

A great place to stay in a lovely village!

The Dog House was an ideal location for an overnight stop with hounds. Amazing space, super dog friendly, fantastic hosts. Highly recommended.

Beautifully designed, quiet!

Lovely location with parking including EV charger. Has all the facilities needed for a short stay. Cosy and thoughtful for dogs too. The hosts were prompt with any contact.

A small house but where everything is really there and spotlessly clean. The interior has been well thought out and all the space has been used optimally. Decorated with love 👍

Lovely little place really close to Stourhead and perfect for a visit. There is a walkable village with fish and chip shop and Chinese takeaway.

The Dog House was private, easy to access and a lovely little spot to spend a short break as a couple.

A lovely, well equipped and decorated 'Dog House'. Very clean and tidy, ideal for our short stay to visit Stourhead. Nice private patio to enjoy our morning coffee, friendly hosts and very dog friendly.

A beautiful little home that had everything one could ask for and everything so very clean and crisp. It is tucked away so there is no noise whatsoever. The cherry on the cake was a wonderful pub within walking distance, 8 minutes actually! Excellent food and service. I will most definitely spend another night or 3 at the Dog House! Wonderful hosts as well!

Such a lovely wee place. So clean and comfy. Everything you need is there. Great location as so easy to get out sightseeing. Perfect location for dogs. Lots of fields and footpaths to explore. Lots within walking distance you don't need the car for local visits. Would recommend and we would return.

Great stay for me and the dogs. Great communication and easy to find. Garden big enough for dogs to have a wee and lots of places to walk to for anything more!

I was on a long cycle ride from Tetbury to Bournemouth with an over stop at The Dog House, situated in Mere, an ideal location for me. The house was easy to find as the directions I had been given were clear, as were all the instructions for entry etc. There was space in the house to store my bike securely. The accommodation was as described with all the facilities I needed, especially a powerful shower and a comfortable bed. Although I didn’t cook the kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean, tidy and well laid out. Jennifer and Frankie’s communication was superb, with almost instant responses to any questions I had. I cannot fault The Dog House or the owners in any way.

Lovely place to stay. Hosts were very friendly. House was very clean. Bed was comfy. Extremely dog friendly, which was our main reason for staying. 3 mins walk to the nearest pub.5 mins walk to the shops and more pubs. Lovely walks for our dogs. No problems re the WiFi. We felt completely at home and would definitely return.

Jen and Frankie were the perfect hosts and the attention to detail in the property was amazing, down to Hotel Chocolat chocolates! The location in the lovely village of Mere was great, with the Walnut Tree pub a few minutes' walk away and the village centre about 10 minutes' walk. Mere ideal for exploring Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset. Bed with Simba mattress so comfy!
